Company Introduction
Bird Strike Safe Co., Ltd. is a South Korean biomaterials company specializing in bio-inspired technologies for bird collision prevention. The company's proprietary USC (bio-inspired advanced biomaterial) is a functional additive that utilizes birds' natural visual perception to help them recognize potential obstacles in advance and safely avoid collisions. USC can be incorporated into specialty coatings, functional films, and visibility products, enabling existing infrastructure to be upgraded without replacement.

Unlike conventional bird control methods that rely on acoustic deterrents, radar systems, or physical capture, Bird Strike Safe focuses on preventive technology that encourages natural avoidance behavior while supporting the coexistence of people, wildlife, and critical infrastructure. USC technology is applicable to aircraft exterior coatings, airport facilities, runway-side structures, wind turbine blades, highway noise barriers, architectural glass, industrial facilities, and a wide range of public infrastructure. The technology is designed to improve aviation safety while contributing to biodiversity conservation through a sustainable and environmentally responsible approach.

The company has completed approximately three years of field demonstrations on highway noise barriers in South Korea, along with evaluations using aircraft exterior materials, airport application studies, and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flight testing. In 2026, Bird Strike Safe signed a government procurement contract valued at approximately KRW 500 million with Korea Airports Corporation to implement a USC-based bird collision prevention coating demonstration project at Jeju International Airport.

Bird Strike Safe has been recognized through its designation as an Innovative Product by South Korea's Public Procurement Service, registration with the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM), and a commendation from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. Supported by its domestic and international intellectual property portfolio, the company is expanding its global business across the United States, Japan, Canada, the European Union, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region. By collaborating with international airports, wind energy operators, and global infrastructure partners, Bird Strike Safe aims to establish USC technology as a global standard for bird collision prevention while contributing to safer and more sustainable infrastructure where people and wildlife can coexist.
Main Products & Services
Bird Collision Prevention Specialty Coatings and Functional Films

Bird Strike Safe's USC-based Bird Collision Prevention Specialty Coatings and Functional Films represent a preventive platform technology designed for a wide range of infrastructure without requiring structural replacement. USC, a proprietary bio-inspired advanced biomaterial, utilizes birds' natural visual perception to help them recognize potential hazards in advance and naturally avoid collisions while minimizing any impact on human visibility or the original function of the infrastructure.

Unlike conventional bird collision prevention products that are typically limited to specific applications, USC technology is available as both specialty coatings and functional films. This enables deployment across airport facilities, aircraft exterior surfaces, highway noise barriers, architectural glass, wind turbine blades, industrial facilities, and other critical infrastructure. The technology is fully compatible with existing construction and maintenance processes, allowing both new and existing facilities to enhance safety while supporting biodiversity conservation without replacing existing structures.

Bird Strike Safe has completed field applications on highway noise barriers, evaluations using aircraft exterior materials, airport application studies, and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flight testing. The company is currently supplying its USC-based Bird Collision Prevention Specialty Coatings for airport facilities at Jeju International Airport operated by Korea Airports Corporation, where the technology is being applied in an operational environment. Rather than deterring or harming birds, USC enables birds to recognize and naturally avoid potential collision hazards, providing a sustainable next-generation bird collision prevention platform for public agencies, infrastructure operators, and private industry.
