Company Introduction
Shinyoung S&C, established in 1993, is a specialized manufacturer and R&D company in the foundry sand industry. Its products include Resin-Coated Sand (RCS), dry silica sand, specialty sand, foundry cores, and polymer-coated sand. The company also distributes imported silica and specialty sands and designs foundry sand manufacturing and reclamation plants. Based on in-house engineering and patented technologies, it supplies materials for cast iron, cast steel, aluminum, bronze, brass, and other casting applications. Shinyoung S&C reclaims spent foundry sand and waste core sand through high-temperature thermal treatment, reducing industrial waste, virgin sand use, and environmental impact. It is also developing inorganic binder-coated sand and eco-friendly hybrid foundry sand to reduce formaldehyde, ammonia, VOCs, and workplace emissions. Through continuous R&D, process automation, quality control, and industry-academia collaboration, the company aims to become a global supplier of sustainable foundry materials.
Main Products & Services
Shinyoung S&C’s main products include Resin-Coated Sand (RCS), dry silica sand, specialty sand, foundry cores, reclaimed foundry sand, and eco-friendly binder-coated sand. RCS is made by coating base sand with resin to provide heat resistance, strength, flowability, and moldability. It is used for cast iron, cast steel, aluminum, bronze, brass, hydraulic parts, and other castings. Dry silica and specialty sands are supplied for furan, cold-box, alpha-set, green-sand, and other foundry processes. Foundry cores form complex internal shapes and hollow sections while improving dimensional accuracy. Reclaimed sand is produced by removing residual organic matter from spent foundry and core sand through high-temperature thermal reclamation, enabling reuse as foundry material. This reduces waste, virgin sand use, disposal costs, and environmental impact. The company develops inorganic binder-coated and hybrid foundry sands to reduce formaldehyde, ammonia, VOCs, and workplace emissions.
