Company Introduction
Uljin County is a coastal city of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, located on the eastern seaboard of the Korean Peninsula. Blessed with the clear waters of the East Sea to the east and the majestic Baekdudaegan mountain range to the west, Uljin offers an exceptional natural environment defined by pristine landscapes and clean air.
Uljin is home to the Hanul Nuclear Power Plant, making it the world's largest concentration of nuclear power generation capacity. With 6 reactors currently in full operation and additional units under construction, the county supplies approximately 60 TWh of carbon-free electricity to the national grid every year — representing nearly 10% of South Korea's total power generation. As such, Uljin serves as a cornerstone of the nation's energy security.
Backed by unrivaled energy infrastructure, outstanding natural assets, and a bold vision for the future, Uljin County is steadily emerging as a next-generation energy city — leading the way toward a carbon-neutral tomorrow.

Main Products & Services
The Uljin Nuclear-Hydrogen National Industrial Complex is a landmark national strategic project designed to produce and supply large-scale clean hydrogen using the carbon-free nuclear power generated in Uljin County — the world's largest concentration of nuclear power capacity.
The complex is designed to utilize 2 GW of nuclear power to achieve an annual production target of 300,000 tons of clean hydrogen, positioning it as the world's largest nuclear-based hydrogen production initiative. The hydrogen produced will be supplied across multiple sectors — including transportation, industry, and power generation — serving as a core driver in realizing South Korea's hydrogen economy.
Closely aligned with the Korean government's Hydrogen Economy Roadmap and national carbon-neutrality goals, the complex is envisioned as a comprehensive industrial ecosystem encompassing hydrogen production clusters, related industry aggregation, and state-of-the-art R&D infrastructure.
The Uljin Nuclear-Hydrogen National Industrial Complex aspires to be a global reference model for clean energy transition — and warmly invites international partners and investors to join in building the sustainable hydrogen future together.
