Company Introduction
Dongsung ES is an innovation-driven venture company established in 2019 with the aim of reducing energy consumption at industrial sites. It has developed and applied the Motor Power Load Optimization Control System (OPC-M) and the DST Venturi Steam Trap, which achieve electricity and steam savings. Contributing to the realization of eco-friendly energy (Green Energy) and carbon neutrality through energy savings, reducing production costs and enhancing competitiveness, and contributing to the public interest by reducing direct and indirect social costs.
Main Products & Services
1.Optimum Power Control Device for Motors(OPC-M)
When operating equipment such as pumps, fans, blowers, compressors, and hydraulic systems, this energy-saving device continuously and repeatedly detects the variable current of the motor through a current transformer (CT), proportional to the real-time shaft load.
Using the OPC-M Kit, the system calculates the optimal motor speed required to generate only the necessary torque based on the load. It then transmits a corresponding control signal (4–20mA) to the variable frequency drive (VFD), which regulates the motor speed accordingly.
By limiting excessive current input to the motor, this control method reduces active power consumption by more than 15% to 50% and consistently maintains a power factor of 0.98 or higher.
Unlike conventional VFD-only control systems, this solution does not require additional sensors, transducers, or PLCs. It can be applied directly to AC three-phase induction motors with voltages of 220V, 380V, 440V, 3,300V, and 6,600V—without any need for equipment replacement or modification.
2.DST Venturi Steam Trap
Unlike mechanical or thermodynamic steam traps, this product contains no mechanically operating components for condensate discharge. Therefore, it eliminates the risk of failure or wear. The steam trap is manufactured as an integrated modular unit composed entirely of stainless steel—including the body, nozzle, strainer, and blow valve.
In contrast to ball float, inverted bucket, disc, or bimetallic type steam traps, which rely on intermittent ON/OFF operations, this model adopts a continuous discharge mechanism, enabling over 20% reduction in steam loss.
Its design incorporates an internal strainer within the steam trap body, with an externally connected blow valve for easy manual blowdown. This allows field operators to efficiently remove oxidized particles, scale, and contaminants generated inside the trap or steam piping.
With exceptional durability that ensures over 15 years of service life, this steam trap significantly reduces maintenance costs.
